Local doggy park & why it’s great?
Queens Park, Centennial Park, Burrows Park, Bondi Promenade – good energy for myself and the pooches. Then there’s a special one I can’t disclose.
Your first childhood dog’s name and breed
My first pet was a chicken who eventually became Sunday lunch – my first and last pet chicken. The family household had 3 Beagles – thank goodness they were my folk’s responsibility. My first dog was Billy. He’s mum had a pedigree as long as the back lane, oh but what a magnificent species he was and a great babysitter.
What one life lesson could humans learn from dogs?
If you really connect with your dog they will continually be gifting you with ‘life lessons’, the value of loyalty being one, and gratitude and…all the best things.
“It’s a dog’s life” because…
A statement that is hard to agree with if you have ever visited a rescue shelter. If you care for a dog like it should be cared for, then you are blessed because you have a dog in your life that will be grateful and loving.
Best thing about minding?
The companionship, the walks, the play and the enjoyment I get when I feel a real connection with the dog – it doesn’t always happen, but mostly it does, thankfully.
Favourite breed & why?
No real favourite breed, it’s their personality that grabs me. I do have to say that the ‘Oodles’ are up-there simply because they don’t shed and they appear to connect well with humans. That said, I simply love dogs and, shock, shock – cats, although they are a complete different story
If you could be any celebrity’s dog for a day who would it be?
